New Life Pentecostal Church

I cannot tell you how great this church is , but what I can tell you is how much love, peace and joy it has brought to my life. New Life Church is a church that really cares and loves you, even the people around me can see a change in me. I’m sitting here with my wife April just loving life.

I was back home on leave from the military for Christmas. My parents did not want me at their house, so I slept on the park bench in Augusta, Maine. There was a Nor’easter and my Marine friend found out where I was sleeping, (in the snow), on a park bench. The Pastors husband found out and drove around for 3 hours looking for me. When we got to their house, the Pastor, at about midnight, made us coffee and breakfast. I had never felt such love from people who didn’t know me. This was in 2000, almost 23 years ago. I also met my wife in the church. This is a place that makes you feel wanted and treats you like family from the very first time they meet you. It is a home away from home.

Being part of a church that has a sense of community is such a wonderful thing, and when I first started coming to this church, that was what I found. “The people here were so loving and helpful, almost like a big family”, I thought to myself. Later, I found myself becoming a part of this family as well, a godly family. I was trying to break away from a life that I was miserable in and find happiness and purpose. I was broken inside myself and lost, but Jesus was patiently waiting on me to reach out to Him. It’s been almost ten years, and I have seen God turn my life around by leaps and bounds. I have joy and happiness in my heart and life because of Jesus. I now have a purpose and a family bigger than I could ever have imagined. They have a love for God and for me and anyone else that comes through those doors, in a way that I have never seen before. If you’re looking for a place to come and feel welcomed, and have a true relationship with God, then this is the place to go.
